The Coldest Neighbourhoods in Durham Region Real Estate

The Coldest Neighbourhoods in Durham Region Real Estate

Last updated: May 9, 2024

It’s no secret that the Durham Region real estate market has heated up lately.

If you have been trying to purchase a home here, particularly at the lower price points, chances are that you have faced multiple offer situations much more often than you would like.

There has been a recent surge in buyer activity, largely driven by encouraging economic news on the interest rate and inflation fronts, and we will explore them in this article. The numbers are for the past 30 days, across all residential property types. A minimum of 3 sales is the benchmark for inclusion on this list.

If you are looking for areas that have less competition among buyers, this list is for you.

Neighbourhoods are ranked using sale price to list price ratio, as that figure illustrates how strong the competition among buyers is for listings.
