Durham Region is on the eastern side of the Greater Toronto Area, with a population of 750,000. It has a rich diversity of urban and rural areas, including a large number of hamlets and villages. The largest communities are Oshawa, Whitby, Clarington, Ajax and Pickering. It also has a large number of farms, forested areas, orchards and conservation areas, making it an ideal place for families and recreation.
Durham is one of the fastest growing areas in the GTA, both in population and in home value. It is also one of the least expensive areas in the GTA. As a result, it is one of the most desired ares for family homes.

There are many projects planned for new home construction in Durham Region. There are a number of condo projects, including highrise and townhouse in most southern Durham areas. For single family homes, there are a number of options, including along the Taunton Road corridor that runs through the region.
Durham Region is home to an abundance of attractions, including Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Parkwood, The R.S. McLaughlin Estate, York Durham Heritage Railway, Thermea Spa Village and many events including the Brooklin Fair, numerous Ribfests and Food Truck events and the Orono Fair.
It also has a number of major parks and forests, including Darlington Provincial Park, Ganaraska Forest, Lynde Creek Conservation Area, and many more.
